Akasa Air has inducted its 39th aircraft, a Boeing 737 MAX 8-200, reinforcing its fleet expansion strategy amid rising demand for air travel in India. Registered as VT-YBP, the aircraft arrived at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport after a delivery journey from Seattle via Reykjavik and Cairo. Equipped with next-generation Safran Z200 seats, USB charging ports and enhanced passenger comfort features, the aircraft marks Akasa’s eighth induction in 2026. The airline has ordered 226 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, with 187 more deliveries scheduled over the next six years to support its long-term network expansion plans.
