The Fern Hotels & Resorts has expanded its Gujarat footprint with the signing of Opal The Fern Ahmedabad, Karai, Series by Marriott, a 117-key hotel scheduled to open in 2029. With this addition, the hospitality chain’s portfolio in the state will grow to 42 operational and upcoming properties. Designed for both business and leisure travellers, the hotel will feature modern guestrooms, dining outlets, conference facilities and banquet spaces. Managing Director Suhail Kannampilly said Gujarat remains central to the company’s expansion plans, driven by rising travel demand and strong economic growth. The project also reflects The Fern’s commitment to sustainable hospitality and strategic expansion in high-growth destinations.
